Context

By mid-2023, Founders League had proven the event model — growing community, real revenue, a clear vision. The next step was raising capital to accelerate. No institutional lead, no warm intro from a VC network. The round would be built from a standing start with individual angels.

Challenge

No institutional investor network, no fundraising track record. Convincing 40+ individual angels to bet on a community business at pre-seed — with no prior round to anchor expectations.

What I built

  • Built pitch deck and investment narrative from scratch
  • Identified and approached 40+ angel investors
  • Led all investor conversations end-to-end
  • Structured the round as a CLA (Convertible Loan Agreement)
  • Managed close timeline and investor coordination
  • Set up investor reporting and performance updates
